Yesterday I was feelin' fine, I took a nap, woke up and my hearing was muffled. It just got worse. This morning I woke up, and my hearing out of my left ear is severely muffled. I tried putting some hydrogen peroxide, nothing. I have a Doctor's appointment tomorrow... but I'm going crazy. Hearing out of one ear muffled is so bothersome... and the pressure is kind of fucking annoying.

Go to the doctors I used to get them all the time when I was younger and they sucked, there are some drops you put in I think to help clear up the infection or it could justbe like a normal penicillin pill to beat it.

sweet oil heat a teaspoon full up to about body temp and then poure it in your ear then stuff it with cotton balls. but keep you head tilted so it dont run out for about 30 min it helps some times

I heard that from somewhere, not sure where. As of now, I've coped and It's not that bad. I stopped rubbing it and it seems to normalize. If it gets worse tonight I'll try that.

just wait until your doctors appt. most of these home remedies do more harm than good.

My ear just started "ticking." I read online that it was a side-effect, so I'm not worried... just fucking annoyed. :fp: FML.

i dealt with that on and off for like 3 months and it is fuckin annoying...i would lay sideways with poroxide for like 5 minutes then rinse it out with water...then it would do it again like a week later....finally went to the doctor and they used this like flush/vacuum thing and it sucked out this big wax ball i had pushed back in my ear(fuckin nasty i know)by using q tips to clean my ears.....no more fuckin q tips in my ear.

q tips arent bad as long as you use them properly. q tip should never enter your ear canal. they should just be used for cleaning just outiside the ear canal. most people jam them in there and end up perforating their eardrum until their ear bleeds. and when you were rinsing with water were you letting that water enter your ear canal? you should rinse your ear with an alcohol, water, and vinegar solution. that way it will help dry out your ear. water just created a moist environment for infection to get worse and could of been causing "swimmers ear"......
OP, that ticking is usually your ear canal draining into your throat. do you have a funny taste in the back of your throat? almost like a copper taste or something sour?
Yeah, I got a remedy, stuff a .40 S&W in there, put a nail on the cap and hit it with a hammer.
Maybe we'll get lucky and you won't fail at that.

So, I went to the Doctor's today... my Doctor looked in my ears and said, "I'm gunna have my nurse flush out your ears." She mixed 2 parts water 1 party hyrdrogen peroxide, put it in a huge syringe with a rubber tip, and shot it in my ear, over, and over, and over. After I got over the pain of scolding hot water raping my ear drum, as well as a rubber tube poking it over and over and over, I realized my hearing was 100% better. Then she did my right ear. I can fuckin' hear like Superman!
