I'm here. Qik is nice, but I use Tango instead. It has a simpler UI and is very fast. A little more like FaceTime, but no integration with the factory dialer.
Launcher Pro Plus has a facebook widget. It's very similar to the Sense widget.
It also looks like you're a big mobile gamer...

My captivate worked flawlessly out of the box bro... I'm not a smart phone savvy person, so I honestly haven't even noticed too much of a difference after rooting. You need to get your iPhone back. The options are obviously too much for you to handle.
So you didn't have to download a task killer when you first got it? You didn't have to tweak everything to make it work properly?

No, the only reason I did anything to my phone (I also own one) was because of all these threads I see telling me to root my phone. I was 100% happy with my phone right out of the box, and after rooting I'm only happier with it. I've never owned any iPhone, but I do own an iTouch so I know what the iOS is like, very rigid.
And no troll bro. Srs Bsns deserves Srs Bsns.

My phone doesn't freeze when I charge it. Oh you mean If I use a non-approved charger from Hong Kong, it won't work? Newsflash, that happens with the iPhone too. My phone has never frozen when I got a text. I've never heard of that one either. I can take screen shots. Never had a problem with that. I've never used anti-virus programs on my phone. No one has ever needed it. Someone decided to make a fake program and put it on the market and dumb-asses previous iPhone owners ran with it. You still have not made a valid argument.

I really want to know how AT&T restricted MMS? There were other phones with higher resolution cameras that were able to do MMS at that time. Apple didn't have the app for it. They used the standard email method a la Windows Mobile, which was their only competitor at the time.

HOLD ON!! You can't just delete things. You'll have to make a ROM for it. A lot of stuff depends on those framework files.
-You can replace the Touchwiz calculator with the AOSP one.
-You can delete the factory TouchWiz launcher once another one has been downloaded.

Maybe you android guis should reconsider your holier than thou stance and stop thinking that you are smarter because you can figure out how to completely customize your phone. Exactly, someone who is smart would buy a phone that already works instead of one that cost the exact same but isnt completely finished :duh: .
Maybe you android guis should reconsider your holier than thou stance and stop thinking that you are smarter because you can figure out how to completely customize your phone. The iPhone crew has already figured out that for the same price we can have someone else do all the work for us and have a supperior product.
She bro.. you're just trollin'. orrrr completely blind & retarded. Srs. Unless you've just been ignoring us for the last year. Our OS is in fact superior to that of the iPhone 4... with proper tuning. Out of the box to a dumbass (ie: you), maybe not so great.
If you've got your mind set to something, it's likely that you've biased yourself regardless of whether you think you're honestly "giving it a chance" or not. You got a phone KNOWING you were going to need to do certain things for it to run up OUR (ie: me/atoz/android ngaz) standards.

oh & don't act so god damn ignorant. You knew to put your SI subs in a better box & to properly tune them to get them working correct.. it's not our fault you'd rather take a durka durka approach to it than to put in a TINY bit of time & effort. :wat:
Stereos I dont mind working on. Cell phones I just want to work
Besides, I had Nick and Jake helping me install all my SI stuffs, maybe the evo would have been totally awesome if I had google helping me to set up my cell phone?
I doubt it though, mostly because the battery life was complete shit... Still rocking 55% battery on my iphone after using it all day.
I gave it a shot though bro, different strokes...

Main points I'll reiterate:
1. My captivate worked flawlessly and smoothly directly out of the box, nothing touched.
2. They leave a few loose ends so the purchaser can tie them up, you know, like customizing and such, like the whole reason I bought an Android device.
3. Your iPOS4 was only $100?

1. My EVO did not work flawlessly and smoothly directly out of the box. Not even close...
2. That is cool and all, but the customization options I saw sucked balls. The market place is a joke, at best.
3. My iPhone cost just as much as the EVO did, and blows it out of the water as far as performance, functionality, usability, and comfort.
And before any of you fegs try to tell me that the evo has better hardware so there is no way my iPhone beat it in performance... The evo crashed several times, was laggy, ran out of memory often, etc etc etc. These problems are (I am guessing) OS based and not hardware based.

1. What didn't work flawlessly and smoothly out of the box? Just curious, as I felt my Epic was very good out of the box, before doing anything to it.
2. The customization options sucked balls because you didn't look. Spend 5 minutes on xda and you'll see just how much customizing there is to do. Don't judge it by just the marketplace- this isn't Apple, where you're capped by whatever the marketplace has to offer...with Android you can d/l apps off websites and such. It's quite simple..
3. I've handled iPhones (3g, no experience with iPhone 4 yet), and have a 3rd gen ipod touch, and the Epic blows both of them away in every aspect above...it's all in what you make out of it though. Even jailbroken, the iphone cannot compete with android in its capabilities.
I've also yet to have any issues with crashing, lag, or memory...

Us Epic users have it made.
Cut out a step. Open the kernel .zip in Winzip. Copy everything except the META-INF folder to your ROM.zip. Then just flash the ROM.zip. It'll flash the kernel at the same time.
My ROM came w/a ballin' kernel.
I really like how the android crews only troll is saying "you aren't smart enough to make it awesome". No, I'm not dumb enough to buy a phone that the developers didn't finish. I WAS smart enough to buy a fully finished/functional phone that suits all of my needs, and I don't have to go changing every stupid setting or download endless amounts of apps to make it work the way I want
This has been established countless times now. iPhone is easier to use right out of the box. K. Done.
However, I like technology & don't want to be locked down to one thing that doesn't work as well as I want it to. So I went with the better choice, FOR ME.. Android.
Bro. I think I said in there that it suited my needs better. But I still just want to say that you are wrong, because I love you and I like this coy little game we are playing.

I like how you rolled one response into the "android crew" as if you don't know the difference. I haven't changed any functionality of my phone. I've only changed the theme. It's fully functional the way it is. And, BTW, it seems you need to download an alarm clock since the internal one is busted. Your theory is busted.
I like how you rolled one response into the "android crew"
you could have stopped there, and you are welcome for me doing that for you.
Now what is this about an alarm clock?

Then it sounds like your "beagle" is an idiot. Mine has always adjusted itself, every time. She probably doesnt have it set to update automatically.

no, what atoz needs to clarify is the "Alarm" on the phone will not "change" when the daylight saving time change happens. so if you depend on the phones Alarm to wake up, it "May" need to be adjusted. Though, that issue was pre iOS4's release. so the issue may not even be present come Sunday. either way... i never use my phone for alarms.. i have a set clock alarm that has never once failed me.

1) It isnt something you have to download
2) It is something that comes already set to automatically update.
So, fail hard on your part. Guess the iPhone just had more options than you gave it credit for  .
I didnt think it was that quick to jump on you, you thought you knew something, turns out you didnt. It seems to happen often.

Why would I need an option to turn off a feature that doesn't need to be messed with? It sounds like Apple concentrated on unimportant stuff when they should have been fixing the obvious flaws. It's a shame you put up with such inferiority.
BTW, lets sex.
I'm for it, but let me set my alarm clock for the morning first.
Tbh I don't really know when that option would be useful. Maybe for someone that works in a different time zone than they live. Or someone who travels outside of a time zone and doesn't want the clock to change.
All I really know is that your friend has her settings screwed up somehow, because I have never had that problem.

So you don't see how having a functional alarm clock is useful? Okay.
Her settings are not screwed up. There shouldn't even be settings for that. It's a flawed OS. Apple is already aware of the flaw.
