I've started riding my bike everywhere recently and I'm going to need a winter jacket soon. Which means it needs to be water proof, light, fairly tight, and of course, ballin.
I need some quality name brands that aren't over-hyped like NorthFace. Whatcha got?

You're trying to hard to be anti-cool bro.
Northface gear is what people wear to survive climbing K2 and shit bro.
As soon as I saw the title, I immediately thought "rocky boots, 1000 gram thinsulate".... "army jacket/wool lining".. "long johns".. "fleece"....
And then saw it was about riding a bike... I lol'ed at the image of anyone riding a bike in all the same junk I wear ATV'ing in the winter.

Anti cool? I don't want to pay $200 for something that could easily cost $100 for the same quality.

But chances are, it won't be of teh same quality, it will just look like it is.
But in any event bro, I don't understand WTF you'd be riding a bike when it wasn't sunny outside...

Horrible grammar with a broken link. Bro, that's not even kinda funny. Step your game up.
Tbh, anything that is on par with north face quality wise is going to be about the same price wise.
But in either case, I would bet there are a bunch of outdoorsy hiking type stores around Greenville that would have a decent selection. If not there, DEFINITLY up in Asheville.
Actually, mass general store will have something for you for sure.

Bicycle.
I'm thinking something along the lines of skiing gear, like a soft shell.

Christ, if you want something nice it's likely you're gonna spend a little extra on it regardless. Quit being a bitch bro! Cheap out & see how quick it starts falling apart at the seams.

Good shit is that cold gear. I use it all winter long. Then just wear something kind of heavy over it. You'll stay warm fo sure

Some things just aren't worth cheaping out on. I'll spend majority of the winter outside at work.. I bought a pair of Carhartt overalls & I'll just wear a thermal, hoody & coat over that.
..but whatever bro.

Bro, never said I was going to cheap out on gear. But I'm not going to waste my money on a premium that goes towards brand recognition.
