Its on Fox. Its pretty cool seeing people come together and say that both Republican and Democratic parties are full of shit, and that the government is going too far.

There is nothing cooler than wasting your time at a protest that accomplishes nothing.

They probably did. But now all the Obama voters are starting to get tired of his shit. He is doing what he said he wont, and the nation has had enough.

Its cool to see people come together with politics and party affiliation aside and demand representative government.

Look at some of the sponsors on the "tea party's" page...

Really "grassroots", I see :D

Like I said before, astroturfing at its finest...and seeing all those idiots on TV just cracked me up. Kind of hard to take someone seriously when they get their dissent spoon-fed to them.

Also, don't these people have jobs, or something?

How is it not grass roots? Furthermore, even if it isn't, what's wrong with protesting against what you feel are injustices? I wouldn't call them idiots. Maybe some, but there are idiots in any given population.

Unlike Obama supporters, these people probably took a vacation day, rather than being perpetually unemployed living off other people's tax dollars.

Who said it was "grassroots"? It isnt supposed to be underground or anything. They want whoever has a similar set of ideals to show up and demand the government to do work for the people.

The government is supposed to serve and represent the people that give it power. Thats not whats happening.

I agree, but over the last several years it's become very apparent that the American people can be largely duped into whatever's pushed on cable news, with not one dissenting voice to be heard until after.

Where was this outrage last year?

Maybe it takes time...who knows? I am just glad some people are putting their time and money where their mouth is...

The American people were duped by a smooth talker. That's apparent. Plenty of people pointed this fact out, people just affiliated McCain with Bush (who was a scapegoat anyway) to much and wanted something different. Well they definitely got it. The next election will be REALLY interesting, it will really show if America has wised up or not.

George Bush spent way too much money as well. Glenn Beck is on and he is saying how Obama spends too much, Bush spent too much, and how the government is basically just on a runaway train.

Its not just Obama who did it.

The American people were duped by a smooth talker.

They've been duped by someone who could barely string his words together, as well. Ask anyone who has a knowledge of history how invading Iraq would have turned out in 2003.

The vast majority of people out there are about as quick and have as much insight as a prune, which is why I find it hard to take these kind of things seriously.

Now, if you had people not paying their taxes and being led off to jail like the COs during Vietnam, that'd be something...

They dont want to stop all taxation. Its just a protest of the government raising taxes and spending it on stuff that does us no good.

Some people dont pay their taxes. When this happens, they are given the position of Treasury Secretary.
