i may buy another truck, this time from a legit dealership. its a black 2000 jeep cherokee limited
(cause it has leather seats and a sunroof). this is my 1st time buying a whip from a legit dealership in 10 yrs.......... what kinda questions should i ask??

Do you have a mechanic you an bring it to? Trusted mechanic is best but even one out of the phonebook is probably better than none.

If anything is pisses the dealer off a little seeing they've probably been busting you balls since you got there.

If it has the 4.0L i wouldn't buy it esp in a truck that old. if it's equipped with the 4.7L with decent miles it would probably make you an ok truck...keep in mind you're buying an 11 year old vehicle, so imho i wouldn't go over $5k and for me to pay that it would have to be in VERY good condition...

If it has the 4.0L i wouldn't buy it esp in a truck that old. if it's equipped with the 4.7L with decent miles it would probably make you an ok truck...keep in mind you're buying an 11 year old vehicle, so imho i wouldn't go over $5k and for me to pay that it would have to be in VERY good condition...

Outside of the potential for a rear main seal that is likely seeping, the Jeep I6 is probably one of the most reliable gas engines on the planet.

its a 4.0 or a 4 cyl - 4.7 is a V8 and was never avalable in the XJ cherokee

too late guys........truck was bust. i had a mechanic meet me out there and we discoverd that the head gasket was fucked!!! drove the car about 20 feet and smoke came from under the hood. and this was a big dealership!!!! $40 saved me alotta time, money, travel and stress.........
