How do you feel about Obama yapping about Mexico and it being out fault? I guess I don't understand how the administration is so lax on illegal immigrants coming into the country yet vow for very 'aggressive' action against the drug and gun transport in and out of mexico.

Also what is this about an assault weapons ban? I thought they were already banned and had been for years?

Personally I could give a shit less what happens in Mexico or how many people die down there, it is pretty much a third world country and a place that will never be able to have the stability and nice things like us gringos in the US have :)

Well, the problems with the drug cartels is a result of both the demand of the people, and the prohibition of the government. In many ways, it is the fault of the US, especially since it was the #1 champion of the war on drugs that has failed so miserably.

The illegal immigrant issue is not nearly as critical because it's not that Obama doesn't want immigrants: he just wants them to have an easier path to citizenship. I don't see anything wrong with that, but I've noticed a lot of folks in the US think anyone that wasn't born in the country doesn't seem to be very welcome.

Now the Assault Weapons Ban is a joke, because it will do absolutely nothing. That's why it was allowed to lapse by Bush.

Obama will leave Mexico with the same stupid prohibition tactics that create the black market they're trying to eliminate.

That is completely incorrect. Once someone has LPR (legal permanent resident status aka Green Card) the path to citizenship is basically the same for everyone.
