I have also noticed slow fridays, not sure why but I know CA gets the same way on Friday afternoons so its probably the same shit on a much smaller scale?

Replace the battery. That is what happens when you use the laptop with the battery in and it plugged in at the same time. You suppose to take the battery out when you're plugged in at home unless it is charging yo.
