I tried, I cant fit enough corn kernels in any of her orrifices, and then what I do fit in there never seems to pop addequately. IMHO, the whirly pop is a better popcorn maker than my girlfriend, but YMMV.

Oh, if you want a healthier approach, pop with canola oil, and use a little bit of sea salt. I actually like it better than popping with vegetable oil and then using butter and salt.

I pop with EVOO, and just use salt too, no butter. Also, just found out that popcorn is considered a whole grain, and is loaded with fiber. So it can actually be a fairly healthy snack.

I have shopped for a stir crazy before, but it was for roasting coffee beans...

I pop with EVOO, and just use salt too, no butter. Also, just found out that popcorn is considered a whole grain, and is loaded with fiber. So it can actually be a fairly healthy snack.

I have shopped for a stir crazy before, but it was for roasting coffee beans...

Never tried with EVOO, might try it tomorrow to give me something to snack on.

I searched online to see if you could use EVOO to pop with, everyone said it wouldn't taste as good as using popping oil. But in my experiences, it tastes the exact same :shrug: .

I have gotten in the habit here lately of snacking on a small batch every night lol. Loving this popper.

my favorite method of popcorn popping is old school pan on the stove, lil veggie oil, put a few kernels in and when they pop load it down with kernels and put a lid on it till the magic happens. I make a couple loads at a time so there is a shitload of popcorn to be had.

My favorite method of storage is a clean paper grocery bag. something about the paper bag keeps the popcorn from going stale for a few days while you enjoy it. This is how my dad and I used to do it so it brings me back to little kid memories to reach into a brown paper bag full of popcorn and grab a tasty handful.
