Here are some free templates for download. These are just for exercise, but you can search whatever term you'd like http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/results.aspx?qu=exercise&origin=FX101741961

I like line charts, so I can always see the line moving downward. I love that line...so much.

Looks like junk. Would never cosign to anything like that. Plus, it would have fed into a chart so I could see progress visually over time.

LOL

Its easy to feed into a chart if you want that.

Numbers don't lie though.

Add a little weight to your lifts somewhere every time, shoot for the same amount of reps, and VOILA, progression each workout....I ALWAYS progress each workout. Even if its just 1 extra rep or 2.5lbs.

I started doing this just on a small note pad back in my earlier days when I did 5x5 workouts. Moved on to spreadsheets and have an entire folder full now.

I can tell you what I was squatting 2 1/2 years ago in December.

Just commenting on the rudimentary spreadsheet. I would have used several small tables instead. Easier to format the data to do other things, push into access, etc.

A spreadsheet is def the way to go though. Props for that.

I don't actually plug the numbers into my computer. I just print out the spread sheets and have 4-5 on the wall of my weight room for my current routine.

AFter that routine is up, they go in my workout folder. As soon as I get done with a lift I write it down.

oh wow....

I guess my mind is so set on data entry, I can't think but do it any other way. At least now it makes sense why your s/s looks the way it does. Not junk if you are printing and stuff.

I can create a simple site if anyone is interested so you can track your progress online. Might be a neat idea.

That would awesome if you could, man. We could see the different styles of training people are doing and how they are progressing. Might give us a chance to tweak some of the programs to help people get the most out of them as well.

Give me the info they need to be able to insert and/or a general layout so I can create the tables.

Sweet. I'll try and get everything for ya today or tomorrow. Is that cool?

That'll work. Should each user have a login, or should I make it a registration thing where they can set it to private if they don't want to share their results?

Core logic for a website, sorry.

I dunno. I guess we could give them the option to be private, but it would be nice for others to see the results. Might help motivate others in the contest. I would ask though, if it is private, that the judges could have access to try and help them adjust their workouts and nutriton if need be.

No offense bro, but plenty of these sites already exist. You'd be beating a dead horse

http://www.livestrong.com is a pretty good one for food and fitness tracking.

You can do something called Loops, which lets you overlay your running/cycling route on a map. It's spiffy. :)

Maybe we should make a thread/poll to see if others are interested. Does it cost money?

One of my friends likes this one http://www.myfitnesspal.com/

I know the food, fitness and groups are free features on Livestrong, but not sure what else it has to offer. I used it back when I was charting for junior last spring. I would look up foods #s & used the Loops thing. I don't track much now.

Here's what the screen there looks like, if it helps ya. As you start your entry, it suggests & populates.

Though if jesus made it, you could have it customized to exactly what you guys want from it.

I'll put it up on my server so no costs unless you want a domain name rather than just a subfolder on my server.
