I am thinking about putting myself in rehab for a week to see if I can stop this vicious cycle. Does anyone know if they can keep you there more than a week can they force you or is it pretty much you stay as long as you want?

I just don't know if I can deal with the shakes and crazy withdrawals. I had had some friends who have told it is is just as bad if not worse than what they show in the movies.

I am glad to see you had the power to protect yourself brother, let me ask did you look to the lord for help with your journey or was it more or something you were able to do on you own?

Assuming you are talking about a street drug, I think this is the best idea because you will get cut off cold turkey in rehab and suffer horrible withdrawal symptoms. If you can slowly decrease use by yourself for a couple weeks before you go in, withdrawal symptoms will probably be less severe.

Well you know I think doing it slowly myself is the best choice but worry about the shit I do when I start to get the twitch and starts to jones for another fix.

Use a friend for support? Call her/him (nohomo) every time you get twitchy and maybe they could come and console you? You'd be surprised at the wonders of support groups (IRL, not in AA)

Problem is I have alienated myself from my family so the only person I really have to call is my pusherman and I am sure you know he is not going to be able to give me the help I need.

Dude, don't feel like that. If you need to talk to someone you can always, and I mean always, call IamDeman. I am sure there are others here that would be willing to help as well.
I hear heroine and methadone are good alternatives that will help aid you on your way to recovery from opiate addiction.

I think since doing this slowly by youself doesn't seem like it's working, go for rehab. It will be worth the pain.
