What mc said. Doesn't have to be paste/tub it can be the cream wax. Just have a couple of microfiber towels for the job.

Sprays are for touch ups after waxed.

Yea. Prep is more important than just waxing. I usually presoak, wash, clay, wash then seal. Once a year bust out the polish. I clay only once a season. After tht its just a wash and a quick detail spray in between washes.


I use Optiseal for a synthetic chemical bond then a wax typically Meguiars NXT or that new Meguiars that came out its real easy to use. I like te wax for its water beading properties and the color depth on dark color paint.

My car, I don't care about. My truck, since I only drive spring-summer, I'll clay bar it sometime in the spring and do 2 coats of wax in spring and before winter. In between I usually just do a light wash and spray detailer/polish.

The spray polish is really nice in between waxings, I'll wash, dry, spray polish everytime!

washed mine on tuesday.. i'll give it a full detail next week after i do a little engine PM.. will clean out engine bay, wheel wells, interior, wash, wax,, buff, seal.. and it would most definitely have a heavy dew in the morning or rain..
