370lbs for 8 reps. About twice my bodyweight. A personal record for me. I had another rep in me but hit my goal, so I let it lay. Part of the routine I am on now is not working to failure on every set of compound lifts.

Hunt ruined at 8:00AM by fucking inconsiderate jiggaboos and their rabbit dogs. Over 90,000 acres of public land and they park and come in on people who are trying to deer hunt.

Once again, it is about common courtesy and hunting ethics. There is an "unwritten code" true sportsman follow.


Things like:

1.) Don't hunt other people's stands/blinds
2.) If someone beats you to a spot you want to hunt, go somewhere else
3.) Try your best not to screw up others' hunts
4.) Offer to help others trail wounded deer/drag out dead deer
5.) etc.

First off, my vehicle and another vehicle was parked at the gate (entrance to area). They could have known 3 people were deer hunting in their by reading the cards we have to fill out and place on our dash. They knew where I was because when I heard them coming I walked to the road, and flailed my arms. They were about 600 yards away and stopped and milled around a while. They continued forth after a while so I stepped out again and they stopped again for a while. Finally they said "fuck it" I guess and kept hollering "GET EM' UP!" to their dogs right in the fucking thicket I was hunting.

And it is different when rabbit hunters with dogs come in to an area where others are hunting than it is if another deer hunter comes in. The dogs ruin the woods for the morning.

Good hunters aren't going to put their exact whereabouts on the map. Otherwise other people will see where they are hunting, and then move in on that area putting a lot of pressure on it. Too much pressure will ruin a spot.

And I will invest in a hunting club when I can find one within a 45 minute drive that is worth a shit. I kill better deer on the public land than a lot of the hunting clubs do.

Yeah I know a few hunting clubs that do the same thing. These are generally larger clubs (20+ people) on tracts of land not too large. And usually lots of permanent stands.

And I have hunted public land all my life (as well as a lot of private land). You have your assholes on both.

And things can get even worse when it comes to turkey hunting! It can get just outright fucking dangerous when more than 1 person is on a gobbling bird.
