If your method involves a microwave, aluminium foil or a plastic wrap you fail.

Wash that bitch, put a light coat of oil on it, srimkle some sea salt on it, throw it in the oven and cook it for a long ass time.

Thank me later.

i have fixed them in the oven, but never put salt/oil on them before baking. is the oil just so the salt sticks or what?

The oil allows for them to tan faster.

I like putting them in the oven like that but summertime they get wrapped and grilled. the oven just heats up the house to much.

What type of oil? Olive, Peanut, Coconut, Sunflower or some generic vegetable BS. Way to be specific about the salt but not the oil, you old cunt rag.

You can use olive or vegetable, don't know about any others. Bitch.

There is no reason to use the foil, at least not in the oven. Try it without the foil the way I described. Moar better.

I dont use oil i use melted butter then roll in kosher salt, and i poke holes for the last 30 mins they are baking (hour to hour and a half total normally)

Also if you have never tried it, brine them for like 4 hours before baking, they come out moist and hell inside.

You don't know about other oils? Your a damn southerner and you know nothing about peanut oil? I can let you slide on coconut and sunflower, but you should know the goodness of peanut.

I digress. Your advice on using oil does make sense. It will do the same job the foil is. It creates a barrier to keep moisture in.
