another bit of useless trivia, they were designed by John Delorian, the same guy that designed the GTO for pontiac

a friend of mine is a delorean nutcase he collects them and has one done up real nice not gaudy at all just redone interior that looks stock he actually made it fast, not many are, and put a nice simple sq system in it. it won best in show 2-3 times at McCormick place. he also helped build a monster truck one and if you ever saw monster garage where they had a few people do one out of their houses he was on that. they took a gt500 kit car and made it into a monster truck then failed at a quarry. Broke the drive shaft.

Speaking of slow and famous cars, I saw a KITT replica driving down the highway the other day.

Had the cool flashing lights in the front and everything. And the driver was rocking a mullet, so it was full of win.

The mullet automatically makes it win no matter what

Those cars were terrible performance wise due to the stainless steel skin. Too damned heavy for the stock 350 they came with. However, the pimp factor in those cars is high.

The neighbor of a friend of mine has one, but I've never seen it move. I'd like to own one, just to say I've done it.

I'm a fking nerd so I'd rock the piss outa it

they make a SC kit for it.
and I heard you could take the Super charged Fierro engine and get more power.

bigtoyota479
05-28-2009, 12:55 PM
Why would you put a supercharged V6 into a V8 car?

Shit, just rebuild the stock 350 into a 383 stroker. 600 HP, fuel injection. Make a real car out of it.

What "Fierro" engine you speak of? If you're talking about the Pontiac Fiero I'm guessing you were being sarcastic.

Shit, just rebuild the stock 350 into a 383 stroker. 600 HP, fuel injection. Make a real car out of it.

"Originally, the car's rear-mounted power plant was to be a Citroën Wankel rotary engine, but was replaced with a French-designed and produced PRV (Peugeot-Renault-Volvo) fuel injected V6 because of the poor fuel economy of the rotary engine, an important issue at a time of worldwide fuel shortages"

So a SC V6 would be more power.

Either way the car would be slow, it weighs a fuckton. I just think its cool.

got my facts wrong, they never put a SC on that motor before production stopped

Well fuck me sideways, I was wrong too. I could have sworn they came with V-8s, but maybe that was just a popular mod.
