FYI, that semi is NOT jet powered. 16v92 Detroit diesel. 2-stroke diesel, if it matters. 1472 cubic inches of smog producing goodness. I did more than sit in it, I got to drive it around the pits. Just not at 230 MPH lol. Oh, and when that thing idles, it lopes like a mofo. It also has almost enough torque at idle to pick the left front wheel up off the ground.

As for fastest I've actually gone.......that would be about 160 MPH on a Yamaha 750. Didn't realize I was going that fast till I looked at the speedo. Then I damned near shit myself and wrecked, and promptly slowed back down to a more sedate 80 MPH.

However, I digress and say that I agree with you that he didn't hit 195 in an 03 vette of any kind at stock.

Even the Z06 would run out in the 170s at 5th gear and 6th gear is to tall and mainly there for fuel economy. Now with a bit more power I guess it could be useful for a top speed or if the final gearing was changed in some way.
