We have decided to ban Bluecar from the forums indefinitely. This was not an easy decision. It follows two previous bans -- the first was a one-month penalty, while the second lasted three months. While we admire Bluecar's passion, all too often his contributions resulted in negative distractions, the deterioration of threads, and the loss of members.

Whether Bluecar's viewpoints were right or wrong is an irrelevant consideration. The fact remains that his contributions here have been harmful to the growth of our forum. For that reason alone, we have banned him.

We would like this negativity to stop. Our goal in banning Bluecar is to limit the number of off-topic and inappropriate posts, and to increase positivity and goodwill overall.

I regret that in order to achieve these goals we feel the need to ban one of our members. However, I also feel relieved and hopeful.
