I'm getting married on Saturday, for those that don't know. I leave Friday morning for the beach, which is where the bitching log mansion is that we are getting married at. The following Monday at 830 AM PST, we are leaving for Kuaui. There will be fishing, sex, Volcano ATV tour, sex, sex, sex, Luau, sex, Zip lines, sex, more sex, and a flight home.

I will use this thread to post pictures of the most awesome vacation I will probably ever have. I will have my netbook and my digital camera, and will be sure to keep you all updated on how kick ass this is going to be.

Have a terrific time! Not sure if you are going to puddle jump to other islands, but hit up oahu if you do.Check out the north shore and most specifically Waimea Bay. One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to.

Anyway, we're here! Got here yesterday, went fishing today. Didn't personally catch any fish, but two people on the boat caught Ono, also known as Wahoo. Prized sport fish here in Hawaii. Both were about 30 lbs, which means that the wife and I took home about 5lbs each. Whatever you catch is shared amongst the boat, which is cool.

Now, for some pics, lest you all think I am full of shit and just posting from home.

Rental car. First lesson learned in Kauai. When you go into a store, put the motherfucking top UP! It can and will rain on a moments notice, and we got out of the store to find a wet interior.

The house. Nice little 2 story on about an acre. Backyard has avocado trees, coconut trees, and all kinds of other shit. Sits on about an acre. Shit was dirt cheap too, cheaper than many hotels. Dark hardwood floors inside, two lanai's, flat screen TV's, etc.

So, we have avocado's, macadamia nuts, passion fruit, star fruit, coconuts, and a few other fresh fruits at our disposal here, in the backyard. The caretakers of the house left us a care package on the table when we got here. Champagne, and some Hawaiian treats in a basket. Those little gecko's are fucking NOISY!! You wouldn't believe that little lizard could make that much noise.

Oh, I'm not going to massacre them. I suppose I should clarify a bit. They don't make noise except for at night, and it's sort of rare for them to do so. Maybe 2-3 times per night. It's just that when they do, they are LOUD! You wouldn't think something so small could make a big noise like that. It doesn't last long either, maybe 10 seconds or so.

The fish is a white fish, kind of a cross between sturgeon and lobster as far as meatiness goes. It's some heavy stuff, very rich. Total grubbage though.

After finding some more information, it looks like that cyclone will miss us to the south. That's a good thing, although it may mess up flights and such. The weather here has been pretty shitty, rain damned near every day. That storm isn't going to help matters either. Ah, well. Today is an ATV tour of the volcano, waterfalls and swimming hole included. 4 hour tour, should be totally ballin'. Pics to follow tonight, of course. Tomorrow we will be snorkeling in teh ocean, I think.

ATV tour is totally bitchin'! We saw spots where Jurassic Park, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and a few other films were done. Way cool. The dirt here is red. It stains everything. :fyi: Quads were cool. 4WD automatics with lots of balls. There were some sissies on this trip in Yamaha Rhino's, may as well be cars and not ATV's. Waterfalls, pigs, prawns, and frogs.

Waterfall. THere were two of them, but one of them was almost dry and therefor weak sauce. Water was really warm too. THere was actually one spot where we parked next to a river with a rope swing and went swimming. No pics of that, we were busy swimming. Raiders of the Lost Ark was filmed in that very spot. Indiana Jones comes running out of a cave chased by natives, grabs a vine, and swings across the river into a plane. Yeah, cool shit.

Oh, those toads in my pics? I knew what they were, just didn't bother to tell you all. They were cane toads, and they are poisonous. Not really to us, but to things that eat them. They secrete a poisonous slime behind their eyes, and when something tries to eat them they get poisoned. Those toads kill dogs and other pets every year here in Hawaii.
