I have had a couple of them and have the iphone they are very cool. But I would look into the zune hd, I got to check one out this weekend and must say it is real nice. PLus the zune marketplace is alot better than itunes. You can rent movies on it plug it into your tv and watch movies in 720p hd.

My wife has the Treo Pro (Treo 850) Probably one of the best build palm type phones i've seen. very seldom did I see anyone with problems with it. Picked up a 32g touch.

Sucks that from what I've read, the 3rd gen touch isn't quite jailbreak-able yet...or it is, but there's not much out there in terms of jailbreaking software...:(

just wait it out a bit RS, they have managed to jailbreak the previous versions of the touch and iphone just haven't been able to get one up for the latest version of the ipod touch or the 3gs. my 3gs is stuck on the OS3.0.1 because of that 3.1 update and just on saturday AT&T opened up the MMS with an update that i can't even touch lol.
it's risk the 3.1 update and no more jailbreak for MMS and being able to text pictures of my pipi or wait it out for the next jailbreak.

OH, and :FYI:
look into Squaretrade.com to see if you want to find insurance coverage on the touch incase of dropping it, drowning it, or it having defects at later times.

Yeah I've heard the jailbreak should be released any day now for 3.1.1 on the itouch 3g...can't wait for it, the shit you can do/put on these things is amazing..

I haz a 16gb 2nd gen touch I iz about to be sellin mid week. They are much thinner than the iphone and they are clocked for higher speeds. If I didn't need a phone I'd just have the touch...... but I haz 32gb white 3GS phone so phuck it..... going up for sale this week. There's no way to be dissapointed with the touch unless you get an 8gb..... then there's lots of ways to be dissapointed.
