new ignition switch too.
also there was a busted stud from a grease monkey doing a rotation a while ago, had them fix that too.

in all honesty, they should have matched your tumblers to your doors. id call and ask questions as to why they didnt.

The key is actually a completely different design. So i would imagine that is why. And i have keyless, but i still have to use the key sometimes because the actuator in the drivers side door does not like sunny days.

after doing some research for you, it seems to not be that expensive to have your door tumblers matched to your new key.

Take car to shop, leave for 2 hours, $65 per door.

well the thing is, these are completely different keys which means itll need new tumblers. i have the design from the 99 trucks. this is a key from a brand new chevy. higher security too. where do you get new lock cylinders and shit?

Afraid you are gonna have to go to the dealer. They may or may not give you the info to get shit done on your own. They probably want to do it themselves.

you will probably have to get new cylinders for the door to match the new key, then get them coded to your new key. Shoulda done it yourself anyways, really its easy. If you were close i woulda helped ya.
