I knew exactly where to come. :fyi:
I have a kid that is willing to trade me an '03 Aprilia SR 50 for my Adassa 18" & IA20.1 + ~20 feet of eNetics 1/0..
Think if I flipped the Aprilia right around into cash, think I'd come out with a profit making the whole transaction worth doing?
Just tell him to sell the bike and buy the amp... There is never a need to complicate it any further.

I paid $200 for the sub, $280 for the amp & the wire was free..
If I resold the bike I could get at LEAST $1,000... right?
I dunno, and here is a tip. If you dont know how much you can get for the bike and you have to come and ask the forum, you will have a hard time selling it.
Do what you want, I am just giving you my $.02, if I didnt know about the other item, it is just going to be a headache to have to deal with.

I completely understand that.. but it doesn't take long to do simple research. I just wasn't sure if anyone had heard of them or knew shit about 'em.
I mean I could throw it on Craigslist or in Autotrader or somethin'.. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to sell.. then again I could be completely wrong.

check out craigslist first and see if you can find any of them and how much they are selling for

Aprilia's are a rare Italian scooter with a very small niche market. Being a scooter, it may be hard to get rid of, hence the reason the guy wants to trade you for your stuff instead of selling it. Brand new they are 3 grand. I'd be very curious to know why he wants to trade you a potential 1-2k scooter for a few hundred bucks in audio equipment.
It is certainly worth more than the stuff you are trading for it, however, you may sit on it for quite a while before you get your money.

I should also add that when it comes to me getting rid of stuff, cash talks, trades and bullshit walks. :fyi: That Aprilia falls into the latter category.

I'll add also that in my area, there is exactly ONE for sale. 2000 SR50, 1150 bucks. Fair price. You'll have a hard time getting rid of it.

Niche market. Parts are somewhat difficult to come by as well, since there are not many dealers. I think my opinion is pretty apparent ITT. :fyi:

this is quite true. how often do you see people riding scooters or mopeds? down here in KW i see them EVERYDAY, but that's cause it's an island and a 3 dollar gallon of gas will last you up most to 3-4 days depending on how much driving you do. in a larger city, they are the rare in general. i don't think i've ever seen a scooter/moped in miami..
make him sell it, then let him pay for your equipment.

i used to see them all the time back home too :keke:
Yeah, every one else pretty much already said what I was thinking: He has not been able to sell it, so he is trying to trade it for something of less value, and then you will be burdened with an item that you cannot sell.
That being said, do it. It seems like a good deal.

I told the kid to try to sell it.
I was thinking about getting it anyway to play on it, heard it goes 75+.. :run:
I highly doubt I'll do a trade. Thanks for your opinions bitches.

top speed of 80 Kph. Still fairly quick, but nothing really uber impressive. If you have a DUI this would be great.

No DUI. Just think the scooter would be fun to run the shit out of.
I would probably do it if I were in your shoes. But I am within walking distance of everywhere I need to go... So I would use it to save gas whenever I could

Scooters max speeds are upwards to 40mph after mods. Only way you'll see 75+ is if your going down a steep ass hill.
Don't buy it. Just sell your equipment for cash.
