Do people need a name for every day they shop?

I'm buying a new coat and a cell phone case for myself, but it's because I need both of them...not because it's any different today.

I'm probably going to see about a new amp and possibly a pair of 10's. I've got 100 dollar Fry's gift card, a 50 dollar gift card, and 50 dollars cash to spend on myself. I also happen to have today off. Coincidence? You betcha.

6 10" Bazooka's $150? Model Amazon.com: Bazooka 10" 400-Watt Subwoofer (RSW1024DVC): Electronics

Have 8, but 2 are dead. So 6 left. They get pretty loud.

I'd invest every penny of that in lingerie and roofies if you catch my drift.:hilarious:

Unlike you, I don't need roofies to get laid. :fyi:

I don't need 6 LOL! I only need 2. My current sub is a 13 year old POS. My amp is also a 13 year old POS. I'm assuming that 400 watts is peak and not RMS?

I agree, however, I don't think I can fit 6 10's in the trunk of my ci.... Not without totally redoing my trunk, making a custom fiberglass enclosure, and spending shit-tons of money, lol.

you can run those 6 10' in a sealed box, it should fit in the trunk of a ci....

300rms, 500pk

Lol, the amp I have now is only 175 W peak per channel, 2 channels. It's bridged, so I'm seeing maybe 100 W RMS! Sucks my ass big time. The sub is rated for like, 100-125 W RMS.

they favor ported, trust me. EPB of 80 and the QTS.

7.5cF for all 6 33Hz with 120"sq. of port

Ah. I prefer the sound of sealed boxes myself. Seems to be tighter bass. I CAN port the box I have, but I'd prefer not to.

Either that, or they had mismatched subs for the ported enclosure. ;)

ramos

Which means the enclosure wasn't designed for the subs. Prefab enclosures serve one purpose for me........they make pretty good work tables :)

enclosures aren't one size fit's all, and to properly design one you should take more into account than the subwoofers themselves. The vehicle should also be a humongous portion of the equation :)
