i just download avi movies off torrents that i use to watch thru my 360. if i want to transfer the movie to my iphone i'll just convert a copy to the proper format or recommended format suggested by the program then just do the transfer.

you can find converters anywhere..

just look for either a specific i.e: AVI to Iphone converter or Movie to Ipod converter or DVD to Ipod converter.
i would recommend one but thing is tey are all shady. by shady i mean some work some don't.. one program would work on my computer for converting and ripping then the same program won't on a different computer. just google some, download them, get a crack, patch it. if it works cool, if it doesn't, delete and find a new one.

apparently I'm an idiot, because all of the free DVD ripping software I download ends up being trial bullshit and I can only do 15 minute movies. :(

I ended up getting a Magic DVD torrent that had the patch and it seems to be working.
