Came back up to northern Alberta for another 2 week shift, I'll apologize right now for the absolutely horrible pictures. 3.5 year old cell phone camera FTL.

Just left Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Notice less than 105K kM (65k miles) on a 16 year old car (1994 Mazda 626), and the gas gauge at a bit over half.

Listening to some music, in a heavy mood today.

I think I had an hour and a half sleep the night before

How exciting... the road actually does have a curve

Saskatoon city limits.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g278/brynm/Jan%2012/Image148.jpg

80 miles and gas gauge barely moved. Love this car, I can go 350 miles on a $40 tank at $3.70 a gallon.

Industrial electrician on a site that is on top of Greenpeace and Al Gore's hit list. Right now I'm working on Shell's Albian Sands oil sand project. So far I love it, except for the 2 weeks in / 1 week out schedule. Money is almost 2.5x what I'd make doing residential/commercial work.

Just under $40 right now, we should be $4-5 higher but they pulled back some raises when everything tanked and it's just starting to recover. It's a 14 day shift, 10hr days, 7 straight / 3 time and a half a day. No expenses, housing, food, entertainment is all paid for (except booze). I was lucky to be on the site I am on, we kept working when everything tanked a lot of others were put on hold and just now starting back up.

STUPID money to be made in Ft. Mac, but cost of living is fucking retarded there as well. Nice when all expenses are taken care of.

If you're not careful it can. Everything I work on is new construction, and if it has been entered into the MCC then we lock the power out. I believe this project is sitting around the 6,000,000 man hours without a lost time accident.
