View Full Version : Thinking about doing my system in phases...

Sex Cells

First electrical...

300 amp alt, atleast one (if not two) high performance batts. My engine bay will accommodate two. Big 3, power wire ran to distros in back.

Second...

Remote Start/Security

Third...

Front stage

Fourth...

Sound deadning

Fifth...

Substage

This will be a SQ build with a ton of dynamic headroom.

Hopefully esotars.

Will take well over a year if it ever actually gets completed.

Sounds like a good plan. You can switch steps 1 and 2. I just might if you don't have a garage so it can warm up.

To be honest, I'd do it

I don't know, it pisses me off. It won't unlock.

Preston, what kind of speakers are you going to use?

a sawzall will take care of that.

is this setup going in the hoe?
IMO, alt, then front, then back, then alarm, then an additional big batt in the back, then the sub stage.
depending on what your total amperage draw is i'm sure you can look for a lower amperage alt.
i'm drunk :/

Sex Cells

why would i want a batt in the back when i can fit two under the hood?

and security before system.

Jamesypoo

If it's under the hood, how are people suppose to know you have two batteries? Dur.

Yessir. I haven't heard that model, but I have heard there lower line stuff (still amazing). I can only imagine how good the Esotars sound.

What attracts you to the equipment you've chosen?

They seem like solid, neutral drivers. To me the cost is staggering. But i figure by going with drivers that are atleast solid in my mind, i will have less on my mind when i'm tuning my system and trying to get my head around everything. I guess in my head -- if i start at the top (or atleast what i think understand to be the top) it helps me to keep things simple versus starting at the bottom and exploring that way. Eliminating variables in a sense. Even though i know one way or another they're all as unique as they are different. And enjoying them has as much to do with their design as it does with mine, and the design of me.

How much will you be spending on the Esotars?
