View Full Version : Anyone here own or manage a club or bar?

A friend and I were throwing around the idea, but I was wondering what all is involved. IIRC a Liq License in FL is around $100,000 and there is no guarantee you can get one (they throw you into a lottery I believe).

What are the start up costs for a small bar or club, and what is required in terms of insurance, licenses, etc.?

Any and all help is appreciated

I believe a liquor license is probably going to be your biggest cost. 100k actually does not seem much to me, I remember looking into getting a taxi medallion 10 years ago and it was 200k, just checked the price now and it's 380k TO DRIVE A FUCKING CAB!

A liquor license is only $10,000 here in CO. Establishment and set-up fees are around $4,000. Plus you factor in your lease/mortgage, and montly lot (parking) fees and taxes.

:fyi: Don't hire deerhunt as a bouncer. He's strong but he doesn't know how to take a punch and will only let chubby chicks in.
