The wreck thread made me think about this and I was wondering how many of you wear them. When I see a bad accident it usually makes me start wearing it but after a week or so it wears off and I am back to my bad habit :crap:

I won't put the car in drive until me and my passenger has a seatbelt on.

I do. Michigan is a stickler with seat belt laws. They have seat belt enforcement zones and heavy penalties.

Ever since I got a seatbelt ticket about 6 months ago I've been wearing them. Before that I barely buckled up.

I didn't. My truck makes this terrible sound if I don't.

I guess it's a nice thing.

My brother's does, too... he made me disconnect it 'cause he never wears his seat belt.

I don't feel safe with out it. Feels like I'm gunna slide right out of the seat. :crap:
Being small sucks :fyi:

I am not too terribly concerned about my welfare. If it wasn't for that sound, I wouldn't wear it very often...

My dad went a step further. He got a spare seatbelt end to click into his truck. Because he can't disconnect his. So, it will go off forever until you put in your seat belt. So, instead, he just has a spare seat belt end.

Always when driving and whenever I'm in the front passenger seat.

If I'm in the backseat, not usually.

Also, if anybody is riding in my truck they must wear a seatbelt as well.

Why not just make a thread about it in the Crunk University?
For my brother's '03 F-150, I just had to disconnect the two little wires under the seat and it stopped.

Always, no matter where I am seated in the vehicle.

I Always wear my seatbelt. I automatically put it on when I get in my car. The only time I was ever pulled over was 7 years ago when I was 16 for not wearin my belt. Was pulled over by a hot blonde cop. Didn't even get a ticket. Suppose I'm lucky.

is it that uncomfortable that you are willing to go flying out your front windshield in an accident?

I don't in town but do if I'm on the highway most of the time so I voted no.

you know you can turn off the seat belt chime on new vehicles. at least all the ones that i have been in you can turn it off. just look in the manual.

A friend of mine was in a brand new BMW M3 a few years back (It was in '03) and it was raining hard. He turned traction control off and decided it was a good idea to floor it. He was going about 170 when he went over rail road tracks, lost control, hit a pole, and then a wall. He was wearing a seat belt, his friend wasn't. His friend was ejected from the car, and landed in the grass, then the car slammed into the wall on the passenger side. If the kid was wearing a seat belt, he would've gotten crushed to death. If the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt, he would've gotten crushed by the car.

Call that for luck.

Been that way for the last few years. Before that, hardly ever. Don't know why though. Was years after my accident before it clicked, hey.......I better buckle up!

Ohio is working to get a law passed that will allow cops to pull you over just for not wearing a seatbelt.

I always wear my seat belt but I find that after I have been on the bikes for awhile, I start to not put it on out of habit of not wearing one on the bike. I just need to get my mind to correlate helmet (which I will not even ride down the road without it on) to seatbelt.

Illinois already has that law. Good law.

I always roll with a seat belt. But only because it is the new cool. When it goes out of fashion, I'll probably stop.

Aren't the non-electronically limited ones capable of that speed?

motorcycle no haz seatbelt.

I had heard once that Honda was either working on an airbag for the Goldwings, or they had already rolled them out...:D

Yes, 176 unlimited. Although I believe it voids the warranty. Expensive car to remove the ECU from. Of course 170 in the rain, so this guy could have LOL.

I'm just going by what he said. He was telling the story and said, "I was going like 170, full throttle and we hit the train tracks."
So, could be an exaggeration :wat:
I just remember seeing pictures of a molested M3.
