For a while I just worked with Ad-Aware, Spy-bot, and HiJackThis... but I've gotten lazy lately.
Now I have Avira AntiVir Personal running, plus Ad-Aware, Spy-bot, and HiJackThis that I run once every few months.
Any personal favorites? I need a good program that degragments well. I've heard that M$'s doesn't work that well. I've never actually tested it.

I've used a combo of AVG and Ad-aware for years now. I've heard Avira was pretty good but I still ended up getting AVG 8.5 instead. I'll give it a try one of these days.

Using AVG and adaware. Been hearing a lot about Avira lately, maybe I'll try it out. AVG has been great though.

Let me tell you what is just super great about Avira. When your about 30 minutes into a game of battlefield and it gets shut down so a FUCKING pop-up telling you to buy pro shows up....yep, super sweet.
Avira is faster, takes less resources and seem to be working but if I can't find a way to turn that pop-up off, fuck them right in their corncob assholes.

Windows XP Pro:
Start - Run - Type “secpol.msc”
Click on Software Restriction Policy - go to Action (at the top) - Create New Restriction Policies
Right-click on Additional Rules (on the right) - Choose New Path Rule
4. Now click Browse and find the “avnotify.exe” file (C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\avnotify.exe) <---updated for you guys :D
5. Make sure the security level is set to “Disallowed” and click OK.
Done. What you have done is disallowed the execution of “avnotify.exe”, which should suppress the popup window.

It has an option so it doesn't automatically update... and it'll only show you to upgrade when you update. lolz.

Yeah and choosing not to update an anti-virus daily is really the option here :uhoh:

I'll just stick with the option I presented. It turned it off, still updates, and I don't have to set any auto-triggers for software to run.

Norton has too much bloat. Doesn't an okay job with detection but honestly avira (from what I've been reading) and malwarebytes is about the best combo.
im still gonna say comodo.
