The mega-publisher announced Monday that beginning with the June 8th release of Tiger Woods 11, all future EA Sports games for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 will include a one-time, game-specific "Online Pass" code, which grants access to "online services, features and bonus content."

Sounds fine and dandy, but for one catch: while the code comes free with new copies of any EA Sports game, it can only be used once. Buy the game used -- or even just rent it through a service like GameFly -- and you'll be unable to play it online beyond a free seven-day trial period...unless you cough up $10 for an additional Online Pass.

Then I shall stick with Tiger Woods 10.

Why dont they just move to digital downloads for games? Cut out manufacturing cost, distribution cost, etc etc, charge the same because we already know people will pay it... And there is no disc to keep up with.

Seems like there should be some way to "deactivate" the game code for when you sell it to someone else so they can use it. Just like you can do with music in itunes.

Yes I did. Reading the link does not do the same as clicking on it and being redirected to exterior content.

In the OP, in the quote bubble, second paragraph, first line, on the right side. It has the words "it can only be used once".

Go ahead and  yourself.

I'll pass. That is illogical. How would EA know it was a different console?

Because it is going online and each console has a unique identifier. That is how they will know it is a different console. Not to mention the fact that it most likely is linked to the persons online user account, so you could not transfer it to someone else's account.

That doesnt help the argument... If it was a tiger woods game it would whore itself out.

I would just have DeMan hack it. It would be fixed in a day.

No one has said a single word about the Wii ITT... You must not have read the OP at all...

Yes I did.

Things that are relevant to my interest intrigue me. I'm sorry if you can't follow along my thought processes without additional insights.
