i didnt watch the video, but i did read the title of the thread...so i will say this

evolution and creationism have NOTHING to do with the scientific method. scientific method is like when you did the whole hypothesis, and whatever those other things were for like science projects. its a process to evaluate something scientifically.

we're not talking religion here, unless the op meant something else when he said scientific method.

edit: well, i guess scientific method does have something to do with the idea of making the theory of either one, but in the big picture, im trying to say that teaching the scientific method is more so about testing something scientifically, not teaching where life came from. does that make any sense or should i quit posting?

edit: holy shit, after rereading my post, i sound like a fucking idiot.

I'm a Catholic in Texas and I don't agree with this. Forcing religion on others is one of the worst social things people can do in my book, as is an atheist incessantly arguing that intelligent design shouldn't even be considered as the source of life.

I respect the scientific method and find much truth in it, do most other southern conservatives? Not a snowball's chance in hell.

I'm confused as to what the argument really is; partly because I only watched the first 30 seconds of the video. (thanks for the invite, Roadtrippin!)

However, the arguments of evolution vs creationism have little to do with the validity of the scientific method. The scientific method is just a process for rational discovery. The theory of evolution is a result of the scientific method and, thus, is science, whereas the idea of creationism is simply a postulate.

The title is wrong... the thing is about not teaching evolution in Texas Schools.
