Hello CT Tech!

How do I use the windows cipher tool to erase the contents from my recycling bin permanently?

I know that first I would need to:

Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then press ENTER.

then I would:

Type cipher /w:

what would come after the w:?

again...I would like to completely erase what I "deleted" from my bin permanently

Thanks

Personally, if you have something that your trying to delete to this extent, download window washer and set the setting to "add bleach" and put 3 runs or so. It will do pretty much the same as all the other programs and run a 01 string. Good thing about this app is that it does it every time the computer turns on or off, or timed (depending on how you set it)

TPB will have it for sure. Or I can zip and email to you most likely.

Everyone who sent me a PM will have the program in a moment. It will come from Justin.Reed FYI

Wouldn't worry about it. There's a worm coming around that will do all of that stuff for you.

This should be a refreshing change. I usually get the worms that clean out my intestines.

it worked by erasing my temp data, caches etc.

but I dont think it completely erased the deleted files in my recycling bin

with cipher i believe it can, but Im missing the final piece of the puzzle (its probably trivial, but I dont want to mess up lol)

You haven't turned up the setting. Winwasher WILL totally delete. Go into options and choose (wash with bleach)
