Or what do you do on the side for money? And had is it been successful?
I invest in vending machines and yes it has been successful.
And now I'm getting into this whole ebay thing. I'm going to start going to Swap-meets, garage sales and auctions and then sell the items on ebay. I'm pretty stocked about it.

I don't do shit on the side for money. I make enough with my regular job to spend the rest of the time drunk.

I have one machine out(quarter crank machine). Probably around 40$ month. I go there about once every two weeks check the levels and take the money. Very low maintenance investment. I have a few other machines just sitting around and I haven't bothered to get them on a spot yet cause I'm moving in a month or so.
However, once I move I'll be working on getting 10+ machines out and running.

OH SHIT! THEN YOU'LL MAKE A WHOLE $400 A MONTH! And it will take you an entire day if not more, to restock them each month.
Sorry, but my time is worth more than that.

I invested in my 401k, needless to say it did not pay off well last year
I would not mind buying a vending route that say already has 50+ machines out there I can make 2 trips a month around to to collect money and refill as needed.
Would need to be bringing in $250-450/wk though to make it even possibly worth it to me.

With 50 machines you would be making a lot more than that.
You can make that with one machine(electrical snack 'n drink) in a hot location.
My goal for my next machine is to make it into a waiting room or break room. As for my location now I have no Idea how I lucked out and got in at a high school.

I know you just bsin but It will not take nearly a full day. And that 400$ is side money excluded from what I'll be doing for a living.

Target new commercial building developments. The building I am in does not have vending services and my minions compain about it all the time.
I don't know why though. We have a fridge full of everything they could ever want and they get that for free.
