QFT. I had nextel when sprint took over, talk about shitty service and I went to verizon.....talk about shitty customer service. Now I am on Sprint with the evo and it. Battery is no issue since I rooted, over clocked and use the juice defender app.

Nope. It's just a unit that uses your in home wifi to make your signal better. Like your own tower. Assuming you have wifi.
